Organized by two of our favorite repeat vendors, Kirsten Coplans, designer of pearl clothing, Jil Cappuccio, owner of Jil Cappuccio One of a Kinds & Limited Lines, it’s the second Indie Wearable Craft event, showcasing style for the Fall 2011 season!

Indie Wearable Craft urban style mart will be held in a downtown Denver studio, located at 1754 Humboldt Street between 17th and 18th avenue on Friday, October 21st from 5-9 pm, Saturday October 22nd from 10-6 pm, and Sunday, October 23rd from 10-3pm. The event is free and open to the public.

Indie Wearable Craft urban style mart was created to fill a niche of wearable style, clothing for women and men, jewelry, and handbags, made by independent local designers whoʼs style works together to create an entire look. The Fall event will be held in a renovated brick building transformed into a working studio and is perfect as a store like setting. Indie Wearable Craft is for people who love one of a kind, handmade, beautifully crafted, recycled, unique, screen printed style, and want to support local independent designers.

The designers include Swear Jar, Becky’s Buttons & Things, Darling Ruth, Jil Cappuccio, Vital Industries, pearl clothing, Phyrne Metals, Beans & Rice, Dandy Social Club, Lucky Me Beads, and Mona Lucero.

Okay, we’re going to make it a BACK to SCHOOL week here at Firefly headquarters. And first up is a Firefly that should need no introduction as she was an original. And her incredible hand-tailored clothing line will make those class pictures super stylie.

Denise Chaudhari of Dandy Social Club has been making dandy duds for the little ones in our lives for over six years and is now delving into the design of some delightful skirts for the ladies! Of course you will still find the original Dandy line of ties, hoodies, pants and button up shirts all made from upcycled vintage and thrift finds, but you will also find a collection of fun, funky and fashionable skirts that are one of a kind and get noticed every time.

Dandy Social Club is all about restyling “what was” into “what’s now”. Designer, maker and mom Denise Chaudhari pairs reclaimed textiles in an unexpected way, resulting in unique, one-of-a-kind garments for both the big and small. Dandy Social Club strives to create fun and imaginative styles for a new generation of mods and rockers (and now for their moms, too!) because everyone deserves something pretty. Don’t you?

ps. we said for moms too …
